What were Cherokee homes like?

The Cherokee lived in the
Southeast and competed with other tribes for hunting opportunities
along the Appalachian Mountains. They farmed in the fertile valleys.
Because of the seasonal differences, the Cherokee lived in two
different types of houses. In the winter, the Cherokee lived in
round homes that they made out of wood covered with clay. The roofs of these homes were made out of tree bark and long grass. In the summer, they lived in rectangular houses made of long sticks and tree bark.
