This week’s lesson focuses on the nature of "interdependence". This happens when families all live together in one house. It also happens when many families live together in one community and those with
specialized jobs work together within that community. Everyone works for the good of the community.
In the Sioux tiospayes (communities), which consist of family, extended family, and some others who wish to live with the family, wealth is measured by the size of the community. That is because each person has a job and the community thrives as everyone pitches in.
