Most Americans think of visiting amusement parks when they think of Florida. You can visit Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Epcot Center, Busch Gardens, Legoland, Sea World, and more.

The Everglades National Park is another famous place to visit in Florida. It's a 1.5 million-acre preserve made up of mangroves and marshes. There are hundreds of animal species living in the Everglades, such as the leatherback turtle, Florida panther, and West Indian manatee.

Another beautiful place surrounded by water is the Florida Keys. Here, you can swim with dolphins, scuba dive, snorkel, take a boat trip, and more.

Florida has the Gulf of Mexico on the west side, and the Atlantic Ocean on the right side. This is why there are so many water-related places to visit and things to do in Florida.

Florida has several famous beaches. Miami Beach, Cocoa Beach, and Key West are just a few of them. Tourists travel from all over the world to visit Florida's beaches.

If you want to visit something "out of this world" in Florida, you can go to the NASA Kennedy Space Center. This is the location from which most space flights in the U.S. space program have launched.

Do you want to visit the oldest colonial city in America? Visit St. Augustine, Florida. It is the oldest permanent city in the continental United States. It was founded by the Spanish four decades before the English came to Jamestown.

Florida also has a great wildlife preserve called McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary in West Palm Beach. There are eight acres of wildlife and botanical gardens. The sanctuary has 200 animals ranging from white tigers to black leopards.

Another place you can visit in Florida is Discovery Cove. You can feed tropical birds, interact with dolphins, play near otters, and walk on the Grand Reef floor.
