Our spelling words this week are a combination of our vocabulary words and words that have the mis- and over- prefixes. If we know how to spell a root word, we can add prefixes to the beginning of the root word to create many new words.
Prefixes are letters added to the beginning of a root word that may change the meaning.
The meaning of the mis- prefix is "wrong or bad."
The meaning of the over- prefix is "too much."
