It is a story that you can relate to because it is realistic. When something is realistic, it can actually happen.
You are going to write a story about you and your grandparents. It can be about something that really happened, or you can make it up.
A story has characters, a setting, and a plot.
Sometimes, characters have problems. The story continues because they want solutions to their problems.
Problems cause conflict. The characters have conflicts.
Characters, setting, problems, solutions, and conflict are story elements.
Lastly, a story needs an ending. You will need to write more than one paragraph to tell your story.
Write the first draft of your story.
Don't forget your topic sentence, supporting details, and closing sentence in each paragraph. You can decide if you would like to handwrite or type your first draft. Choose what works best for you.
