Do you know what the term major muscle groups means? If not, have you at least heard the term before? If not, don't fret, that's what you'll be learning in this lesson.
Depending upon the source or area of the fitness field, there can be differences in the number of major muscle groups. However, this difference is only by two to three muscles. For the purpose of this lesson and class, we are going to focus on the eight major muscle groups. They consist of:
- triceps
- pectoralis major
- deltoids
- biceps
- quadriceps
- hamstrings
- calves
- abdominals
We will explore each of the muscle groups in further detail.
