Water is essential—all living things depend upon it. Luckily, it’s one of the most abundant substances on Earth. Just take a look around your home! It probably won’t take you long to find water in all three states: solid, liquid, and gas.

- In your notebook, list examples of three states of water you observed in your home and describe where they were found.
- Also give examples of three different states of water that exist outside your home. Explain how and when they are likely to change forms.
- Complete the following tasks:
- Make a collage with pictures or words of all the ways in which humans, plants, and animals use water. Your creation should include examples of water in its solid, liquid, and gaseous states. Take digital photos of your collage, and include those and a short description of your collage on the class discussion board.
