Learning Coach Notes:

Lesson # Lesson Title Notes
1 27.1 Th Digraph A digraph is when two letters make one sound. Your learner will spend the next four weeks learning common digraphs in English. This will allow them to read many more words. Point out and ask your learner to point out the th digraphs you see this week.
2 27.2 Th Digraph As your learner continues to practice making the /th/ sound, remind them to stick their tongue out to produce the sound. This week, the central idea or main idea of a text will be introduced in the comprehension section. Use your learner’s favorite book or movie to discuss the main idea.
3 27.3 Th Digraph Encourage your learner to make connections between the Words of the Week and spelling words that all contain the th digraph. Have your learner identify the th digraph in each word to help reinforce their understanding of this digraph.
4 27.4 Th Digraph The first activity today is to create a thunderstorm to get moving. If this activity is likely to overstimulate your learner, have them draw a picture of a thunderstorm and discuss what a thunderstorm is like.
5 27.5 Th Digraph Your learner will have a short review video before demonstrating their understanding of the concepts and skills learned this week. Guide your learner through this lesson but refrain from providing answers. Your child’s teacher will use this lesson to understand how well your child is learning.
