2 Republican Principles of Government
  1. Identify characteristics of a republican for of government.
  2. Describe the meaning of an individual's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as well as equality under the law.
  3. Illustrate basic symbols of the United States including the American Flag, the Great Seal and the Liberty Bell.
3 Your Local Government
  1. Research your local government.
  2. Take a field trip to a town hall, city hall or a comparable local government office to observe a local leader.
  3. Document your findings in writing in your Main Lesson Book.
