Module 7: Fractions-Math 5B - Course Guide
Module Overview:
In this module, students will learn about ratios and how to write them. They will learn how to write fractions as division problems and how to use fraction models to create division problems from fractions. Students will learn how to write equations and use them to solve word problems. Students will learn how to use a number line to find fractions, compare fractions, and estimate fraction sums and differences. Students will learn about how to use estimation for fraction addition and subtraction to problem solve. Students will learn about matching mixed numbers and improper fractions, as well as using visual models to represent fractions. Students will learn about creating their own story problems. Students will learn about the commutative property. Students will learn about multiplying a whole number by a fraction.
