  • Your student will need to have an entire research paragraph written and revised for the writing assignment this week. Be sure your student uses the final draft paper provided in this lesson. There are blank spaces at the top of the paper for illustrations. Just have your student leaves those spaces blank at this time. S/he will be adding illustrations in a later lesson. Be sure your student keeps his/her work in a safe place because s/he will continue to work on it this week and next.
  • As your student reads “The Knight and the Gnat Try Something New” ask them the following questions: Who do the Knight and the Gnat go to to help them find something new? What types of things did the Gnome teach them?
