1 Plant a Garden In this lesson, your student will be planting indoor gardens. As the seeds grow, discuss the parts of the plant that are sprouting first. Discuss what each part of the plant does. Have the student measure the plant growth each week using a ruler. Show your student how to use a ruler. Have them compare the different things they are growing (Which grows faster? Do they all look the same when they sprout through the soil?)

When a student starts a lesson ask them questions to check for prior knowledge and understanding and to review concepts being taught. At the end of the lesson ask the questions again to see if their answer changes.
