Module Overview:
In this module, students will be learning about r-blends, and you will be introduced to your new sight words and spelling words. You will also listen to the weekly story and read a poem. You will be introduced to possessive nouns. You will complete a fluency check.

Module Outing:
Take some time to apply what your student is learning to the real world. Suggested outings are below.

1 | R-Blend Scavenger Hunt: Pick a place to go where your student can find words that have r-blends, for example, a nature trail (frogs), a grocery store (grapes, pretzels, truffles, etc.), have them write what they find in their Language Arts notebook. Another option is to go to a greenhouse and look at all of the plants to identify the ones with r-blends and talk about how things grow. |
