Module Overview:

In this module, students will answer who, what, when, where, and why questions about the U.S. capital, label North America, the United States, Canada, and Mexico on a map, and label on a map or globe the continents, oceans, equator, prime meridian, and North and South Poles.

1 Country After completing this lesson, ask your student to explain where the capital of The United States is and the characteristics of a country.
2 Continent After completing this lesson, ask your student the characteristics of a continent, the continent they live on, and what countries border The United States. Get out a world map and ask your student to find all seven continents on the map.
3 World After completing this lesson, ask your student to explain the following: the purpose of a map, the 7 continents and where they are located on a map, the names of the oceans and their location, and where the north pole, south pole, prime meridian, and equator are located.
