Module Overview:

In this module, students will learn to differentiate schools from the past to today’s schools, compare and contrast life today with their ancestors’ time, and organize their life events on a timeline in the order in which they occurred.

1 The Past After completing this lesson, ask your student to explain the meaning of the words past, present, and future, and describe what schools were like in the past. If possible visit a local one-room school house with your student to experience what school was like in the past.
2 My Family History After completing this lesson, ask your student to explain how life was different for their ancestors and how it was the same.
3 My Past After completing this lesson, ask your student to explain what a timeline is and its purpose.
