Module Overview:

In this module, students will learn to categorize media into different categories, Identify how environmental changes impact people, name ways that people can conserve and replenish Earth’s resources, and determine how they can reduce, reuse, and recycle every day to help the environment.

1 Learning Through Media After completing this lesson, ask your student to describe what media is, the three types of media, and the importance of fact-checking.
2 Impact on Me After completing this lesson, ask your student to identify the ways the environment is changing and why it matters. Help them research ways the environment has changed where they live and the impact of that change.
3 What Can We Do? After completing this lesson, ask your student to explain ways to help the environment, and to research ways they can help the environment where they live.
4 Project: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle After completing this lesson, ask your student to explain the rubric requirements and the requirements of the project. When they have finished their project ask them to review their finished product against the rubric requirements to make sure they meet all of the requirements.
